Princess Eugenie's royal wedding may have its own family friction similar to Meghan Markle's.
According to Katie Hind, a journalist for Daily Mail, Princess Eugenie's upcoming nuptials is a "copycat Royal Wedding." It follows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's outrageous budget, open-top carriage and probably family issues.
The family friction is far away from the scale of Thomas Markle debacle. However, according to Hind, this will be due to two guests who are desperate to avoid each other - Prince Philip and Sarah Ferguson.
"I'm told that Prince Philip was at pains not to bump into the Duchess of York, 58, when she visited the Queen at Balmoral last week," Hind wrote.
According to Hind, Fergie visited the Balmoral estate where the Queen is spending summer on Thursday. The Duchess of York arrived with Prince Andrew and their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice for their annual visit to the Scottish retreat, but Ferguson was careful not to bump the Duke of Edinburgh.
[post_ads]"[Fergsuon] left the estate at 10.30am on Sunday after waving Andrew and Bea off to church and headed for Aberdeen airport in a Range Rover, while the Duke of Edinburgh, 97, arrived at 11.15am, to be reunited with the Queen," Hind continued.
"I am told that she has still not been forgiven by her former father-in-law for the infamous ‘toegate’ scandal of 1992. Fergie, who at the time was still married to Prince Andrew, was pictured on a sun lounger having her toes sucked by 'financial adviser' John Bryan," Hind added.
A number of royal experts also believed that the said scandal caused Ferguson and Prince Andrew's split. In fact, according to author Penny Junor, it was the last straw.
"She was famously photographed with her financial advisor and she was wearing a bikini in some garden in the south of France and he appeared to be sucking her toes," royal biographer Penny Juror said in the documentary. "She was at Balmoral when those photographs came out. The family came down for breakfast and there was Fergie in this shocking scene and that was the end."
Meanwhile, according to royal biographer Katie Nicholl, if Prince Philip attends Princess Eugenie's wedding, then he "will be forced to put on his best poker face.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will tie the knot on Oct. 12 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
